La Chiesa di San Giovanni a Saluzzo รจ, con il Duomo, l'edificio religioso piรน importante della cittร . Dopo averne visitati gli interni, decorati secondo lo stile rinascimentale saluzzese รจ possibile anche vedere il Chiostro .
L'accesso al Chiostro della Chiesa di San Giovanni si trova nella navata sinistra.
Di forma quadrata ed in stile gotico, fu fatto costruire nel 1466 dal marchese Ludovico I.
Da ammirare i capitelli che riportano gli stemmi delle piรน famose famiglie saluzzesi che contribuirono a sovvenzionare la sua realizzazione e l’altorilievo in cotto posto accanto all'ingresso. Un tempo policromo, rappresenta la Visitazione.
Dal Chiostro della Chiesa di San Giovanni si accede, attraverso una porta con lunetta contenente un dipinto monocromo della Madonna con Bambino e san Giovannino, all'antico refettorio. Questa grande sala, ora utilizzata per conferenze dall'annesso hotel, ha soffitto a cassettoni ed un affresco, risalente ai primi del XVI e attribuito al calabrese Aimo Volpi, rappresentante la Crocifissione con San Domenico, San Giovanni Battista, la Vergine, San Giovanni Evangelista, San Pietro e Santa Margherita.
Accanto al refettorio si trova l'ingresso alla Cappella Cavassa che ospita il monumento funebre del vicario generale del marchesato Galeazzo Cavassa.

Made with square shape and in Gothic style, it was built in 1466 by the Marquis Ludovico I.
To admire the capitals with the coats of arms of the most famous Saluzzo families, who helped to subsidize its construction, and the terracotta relief placed next to the entrance. Once polychrome, it represents the Visitation.
The ancient refectory is accessed from the Cloister of San Giovanni Church through a door with a lunette containing a monochrome painting of the Madonna with Child and San Giovannino. This large room, now used for conferences by the attached hotel, has a coffered ceiling and a fresco, dating back to the early 16th century and attributed to the Calabrian Aimo Volpi, representing the Crucifixion with Saint Dominic, Saint John the Baptist, the Virgin, Saint John the Evangelist , Saint Peter and Santa Margherita.
Next to the refectory is the entrance to the Cavassa Chapel which houses the funeral monument of the vicar general of the marquisate Galeazzo Cavassa.
