Ostana è un piccolo e grazioso comune della Valle Po inserito, per la sua bellezza e per la qualità della riqualificazione architettonica attuata, nel circuito dei Borghi più belli d'Italia.
Si tratta di un paese formato da diverse borgate sparse sui monti che godono di un panorama eccezionale sul Monviso.
Ai piedi della Borgata San Antonio, chiamata dai locali Miribrart, si trova la Cappella di Sant'Antonio.
La prima cosa che colpisce di questa chiesa è il fatto che la strada che sale a monte passi proprio sotto il suo porticato.
Non si conosce la data della sua creazione, ma viene citata e descritta nel Libro delle Valbe del 1789, conservato nell'archivio storico di Ostana. Da questo scritto si evince che la struttura era di per sè simile a quella attuale, ad eccezione del portico, costruito posteriormente.
Nella prima metà dell'Ottocento la Cappella di Sant'Antonio subì dei rimaneggiamenti: venne ricostruito il campanile secondo la tipologia "a vela" e vennero intonacati gli interni. Nel 1830 venne innalzato il porticato e contestualmente rifatta la facciata che, con il suo azzurro intenso, colpisce al primo colpo. Gli affreschi che la abbelliscono risalgono al 2000, opera di Aldo Tufo rappresentano San Chiaffredo, Sant'Antonio Abate e San Claudio. Queste pitture hanno sostituito quelle vecchie ormai degradate dal tempo che raffiguravano San Chiaffredo a cavallo, Sant’Antonio accompagnato da un altro santo di cui si è persa l'identità e un quarto santo, forse San Claudio, San Bernardo o San Sebastiano.
La cappella è intitolata non solo a Sant'Antonio Abate, ma anche a Sant'Antonio da Padova, ampiamente festeggiati. La ricorrenza più importante era quella del 17 Gennaio celebrata con un falò presso il pilone votivo, una messa, canti, giochi e balli. E visto che in inverno la gente aveva più tempo per far festa, la baldoria durava tutta la notte e anche di più.

In 1830 the portico was raised and, at the same time, the façade, that with its intense blue strikes at the first attempt, was redone.
The frescoes that embellish it date back to 2000; the work of Aldo Tufo representing San Chiaffredo, Sant'Antonio Abate and San Claudio. These paintings replaced the old ones, now degraded by time, depicting San Chiaffredo on horseback, Sant'Antonio accompanied by another saint whose identity was lost and a fourth saint, perhaps San Claudio, San Bernardo or San Sebastiano.
The chapel is dedicated not only to Sant'Antonio Abate, but also to Sant'Antonio da Padova, widely celebrated. The most important event was on January 17th, celebrated with a bonfire at the votive pillar, a mass, songs, games and dances. And since in the winter people had more time to party, the spree lasted all night and even longer.
