Built in the XIII century with a defensive purpose, the Castle of Rocca de'Baldi gradually became, over the centuries, the residence of the Morozzo della Rocca family, taking on its present appearance thanks to the intervention of the architect Francesco Gallo.
Of the ancient structure remains the tower with Ghibelline battlements, once connected to the walls and to the gateway to the village. The actual building, with a rectangular plan, now presents walls in a beautiful red shade but originally was painted by white stucco with black decorations, a style that distinguished all the buildings owned by the Morozzo della Rocca.
After having hosted the Orphan Provincial War Colony and the Child Asylum in the twentieth century, the castle became municipal property and today it houses the "Augusto Doro" Provincial Ethnographic Museum.
Attached to the castle there is a large park with a part reserved for orchards.
