Personaggi della Baio di Sampeyre: gli Alum
Lo stato maggiore della Baìo di Sampeyre è costituito dagli Alum, responsabili dell'organizzazione e dell'andamento dell'evento.
Indossano vestiti neri con bordature bianche, rosse o a motivi floreali, a seconda della Baìo, guanti bianchi e, in testa, una feluca napoleonica con pennacchio rosso e blu. In vita e trasversalmente hanno delle fasce ricamate. Il vestito è poi ornato da nastri e coccarde multicolori. In mano tengono un bastone decorato con nastri e nel fodero la spada.
Sono otto per ogni Baìo e inquadrati con un ordine gerarchico ben preciso.
Gli Alum più importanti sono gli Abà, capi supremi della Baìo e coloro che un tempo finanziavano la festa. Sono due e rappresentano i comandanti della rivolta contro i Saraceni. Sulla loro feluca c'è la lettera "A" ad eccezione dell'Abà Majour di Piasso che ha la lettera "M".
Gli Alum di grado più basso sono i Tenent, sono due e sulla feluca hanno la lettera "T" o "S" nella Baìo di Rore.
Dopo cinque anni vengono promossi Portobandiero con il compito di portare a turno la bandiera, differente a seconda della Baio ma comunque decorata da nastri. Hanno la lettera "P" sulla feluca.
Dopo cinque anni nel ruolo di Abà si diventa Segretari o Tezourìe. Il Segretari custodisce gli antichi atti della Baìo mentre il Tezourìe custodisce il tesoro, che l'ultimo giorno tenta di rubare. Hanno rispettivamente la lettera "S" e "T" sul copricapo.
Characters Sampeyre Baìo: Alum
The general staff of the Sampeyre Baio is costitued by the Alum, responsible for the organization and the performance of the event.
They wear black clothes trimmed with white, red or floral patterns, according to their Baio, white gloves, and on the head, a Napoleonic hat with a blue and red plume. They wear also ribbon worn embroidered around the waistline. The dresses are decorated with colorful ribbons and rosettes. In their hand held a stick decorated with ribbons and on one's side a sword in its sheath.
The Alum are eight for each Baìo and are organized into a precise hierarchical order.
The most important are the Abà, supreme heads of the Baìò who bankrolled the event in the past. They are two and represent are the commanders of the rebellion against the Saracens. On their felucca there is the letter "A" with the exception of the Abà Majour of Piasso that has the letter "M".
On the lowest grade of the Alum there are the two Tenent, with the letter "T" or "S" for Rore Baio on their felucca.
After five years they are promoted Portobandiero with the task of carrying the flag in turn, that differs according to the Baio but is however decorated with ribbons. They have the letter "P" on the felucca.
After five years in the role the Abà will become Segretari or Tezourìe. The Segretari preserves the ancient acts of the Baio while the Tezourìe guards the treasure, that he trying to steal the last day. Respectively they have the letter "S" and "T" on the felucca.
