Situato ai piedi di una collina poco distante dal centro medioevale della città, digrada dalla bella Villa Bricherasio fino alla strada e gode di un microclima particolarmente mite che permette la crescita di specie che notoriamente temono il gelo.
Il Giardino Botanico di Villa Bricherasio è suddiviso in tre diverse zone climatiche: mediterranea, temperata fredda e continentale, sapientemente armonizzate tra di loro tanto da creare un ambiente molto suggestivo.
Così troviamo camelie, una moltitudine di rose, ortensie, semprevivum, bambù, palme, eucaliptus, graminacce e tantissime altre specie comuni e rare provevienti da ogni parte del mondo come la Gunnera Manicata del Brasile che con le sue enormi foglie arriva a consumare fino a 800 litri di acqua al giorno.
Spettacolare è la zona dei laghetti con piante acquatiche galleggianti e ninfee, tra cui la Victoria amazzonica che normalmente viene coltivata in serre e qui è possibile vedere all'aperto con le sue enormi foglie circolari rialzate ed i fiori cangianti dai colori bianco, rosa e rosso.
La disposizione sapiente delle varie specie con bordure miste di piante perenni ed arbusti permette di godere tutto l'anno di fioriture alternate.
